Overview:
Water Treatment involves removing contaminants and improving water quality to meet regulatory standards. It can be done for groundwater and/or discharge process water, which may include treating vapours or non-aqueous phase liquids. Commonly removed contaminants include Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Petroleum Hydrocarbons (PHCs), Ammonia, chlorinated solvents, VOCs, and Phenols. The result is that treated water that can be discharged into sewers, recirculated, reinjected, or released into the natural environment.

Farouk has over 10 years of experience managing a wide variety of contaminated site remediation projects, with expertise spanning in-situ soil and groundwater treatment (ISCO, ISCR, adsorption, bioremediation), high resolution site characterization (HRSC), groundwater and soil vapour treatment systems, and vapour intrusion mitigation. Farouk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a licensed engineer with the SCE.
